What is an eTA?

Background on the Expansion
This expansion is part of ToadVille Bay's ongoing efforts to facilitate legitimate travel while maintaining border security. The decision to add these five countries was based on several factors:
- Low visa refusal rates โ All five countries have consistently low visitor visa refusal rates
- Strong bilateral relations โ ToadVille Bay enjoys positive diplomatic relationships with these nations
- Economic benefits โ Increased tourism and business travel expected
- Security assessments โ Comprehensive security evaluations completed successfully
Impact on Tourism and Business
"This expansion will significantly boost tourism and business connections between ToadVille Bay and these five countries," said Minister of Immigration Sarah Toadsworth. "We expect to see increased visitor numbers, which will benefit our tourism industry and strengthen international partnerships."
The tourism industry has welcomed this announcement, with ToadVille Bay Tourism Board estimating a potential 15% increase in visitors from these countries over the next year.
Transition Period
Citizens from these countries who currently hold valid visitor visas can continue to use them until they expire. However, they may choose to apply for an eTA for future travel, which offers greater convenience and cost savings.
